What to Expect

Inside Magical Theatre we have an intimate seating space, where the magic of drama happens within arm’s reach.

Prohibited Items: Food, Beverages, Smoking, and Photography.

Cameras & Cell Phones

Please silence all electronic devices. The taking of photos during a performance is strictly prohibited.

Children Under 3

It is the experience of MTC that children under the age of three may have difficulty distinguishing between fantasy and reality and may become frightened by loud noises or other stage action. It is, therefore, our recommendation that children under the age of three do not attend performances. If you bring a young child to the theater and he/she becomes restless, as a courtesy to other patrons, please take him/her to the outer lobby. Every individual, regardless of age, must have a ticket to attend a performance.

Emergency Notice

In the event of fire or other emergency, please use the exit nearest your seat, indicated by the lighted exit sign. Ushers will assist you.

First Aid

Contact front of house personnel for assistance.

Latecomer Etiquette

In the interest of all patrons, latecomers and any persons returning to their seats will not be seated until a suitable break in the performance. The management accepts no responsibility for the inconvenience and can make no adjustment on account of it.

Services for the Physically Challenged

Seating locations and restrooms are available for wheelchair patrons. Please advise the box office of your need for a wheelchair location when making your reservation.

Area Restaurants

Magical Theatre Company is in the heart of downtown Barberton, which is also home to some great restaurants! Grab a bite before or after the show at one of these locally owned and operated restaurants:

Health & Safety

To ensure the safety of every person in the building, the following health and safety measures have been adopted:

Air Filtration

Magical Theatre Company has installed an Ultraviolet Light Coil Clean System, as well as increased the fresh air exchange that exceeds current recommended levels by the State of Ohio. Additional measures include an upgraded HVAC system, equipping the air handlers with MERV 13 rated filters, which are designed to trap smaller particles, including viruses, such as COVID-19 and the Delta variant.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Enhanced cleaning procedures will be employed between performances, as well as hand sanitizers available throughout the theatre.

Exchange Policies

Patrons who are not feeling well, are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, have had or been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 5 days, should not come to Magical Theatre Company. Please call us at 330-848-3709.

Face Coverings

In response to the recent CDC guidance regarding indoor events, as well as the Summit County Health Department, patrons are no longer required to wear a mask upon entering the building. The theatre continues to encourage the wearing of masks for all who choose to do so. The policy takes effect immediately and will be reviewed periodically with the Summit County Health Department and the CDC; Patrons who are not feeling well are asked to stay home.

Guidance

Magical Theatre Company will continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, Summit County Department of Health, and the Ohio Department of Health. All policies, including ticketing and attendance, are subject to change based on evolving guidance from the aforementioned organizations. As this guidance may evolve, so may our protocols.

Post-show Activities

After every performance there will be a Q&A between the audience and the creatives. We invite you onstage after the performance for autographs & photos.

Risk Assumption

All patrons understand that there is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. Those purchasing tickets and attending Magical Theatre Company productions voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. You and your party hereby agree that you will waive and release Magical Theatre Company from any and all liability related directly or indirectly to contracting COVID-19 (coronavirus) or any other related illness or disease.

Ticket Delivery

Reservations are required and can be made online or over the phone. Tickets will be delivered electronically by email and can be displayed on your phone to an usher. For those without that capability, we will have a list of names of patrons with reservations.

Distancing

The protocols outlined in this plan allow Magical Theatre Company to safely operate at full capacity. As such, there will not be physical distancing between parties in the theatre.
