Casting Breakdown:
The theatre is seeking actors ages 13–19 to portray three characters between the ages of 15 and 16:
Frank Hardy – 16
The older Hardy brother. Frank is serious but knows how to joke around. He often has to devise ingenious, last-minute plans because of his younger brother’s impulsiveness.
Joe Hardy – 15
The younger Hardy brother. Joe is a smart-mouth who uses sarcasm and clever wit to annoy the bad guys—and sometimes everyone else.
Callie Shaw – 16
A competitive, brave, and talented young woman who is always ready to assist the Hardys with their cases. She becomes Frank’s girlfriend and has a car of her own.
Open to all ethnicities.

Ace amateur detectives Frank and Joe Hardy find themselves caught in a dangerous mystery when an eerie mansion on the edge of Barmet Bay becomes the center of an international smuggling operation. As their father is placed in grave danger, the brothers must race against time to uncover the truth and save him before it’s too late!
General Audition Notes
- Each young actor will be asked to read from the script.
- All kids must be able to be released from school for weekday performances.
- Auditions will be held at Magical Theatre Company: 565 W Tuscarawas Ave. Barberton, OH 44203.
- Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the beginning of the audition so we can communicate expectations and important information about the rehearsal and performance process.
- Magical Theatre Company is a professional theatre company for young audiences and families. Actors cast in the production will receive a stipend for their work.
