AUDITION/ORIENTATION:

Date: June 30th, 2014

Time: 9:00am – 12:30pm

All campers, new and returning are requested to attend. The staff will lead the campers through some singing, movement, and acting. Campers may prepare a song and bring their own sheet music, but it is not required.

Mission:

K.I.D. Camp seeks to introduce and develop basic performing skills in young people through age-appropriate classes in acting, singing and dancing. Classes are balanced with rehearsals, so that students can apply concepts learned in their class to their work onstage.

Philosophy:

Magical Theatre Company seeks to provide an environment of trust, fun and hard work so that young people of all levels of experience may grow socially, physically and artistically.

Objectives, to:

  • Provide an outlet for self-expression
  • Encourage the use of the imagination
  • Develop public speaking skills
  • Strengthen social and mental awareness
  • Reinforce physical fitness and coordination
  • Build self-confidence, self-discipline and self-respect
  • Develop teamwork and ensemble-building skills
