An actor, director, producer and writer, Ms. Barkdoll has been Co-Producing Director of Magical Theatre Company since 1992. In 1998, she was nominated for a Governer's Award for the Arts in Ohio for her work at Magical Theatre Company. Read more>

Mr. O'Connell has been acting, directing, producing and writing for the theatre and film industry for over 20 years. He has been the Co-Producing Director of Magical Theatre Company with his wife, Holly Barkdoll, since 1992. Read more>

 
       
   

John Ebert

Lighting Designer

For over twenty years John has provided lighting design and production management services for numerous professional, commercial, and educational arts institutions throughout Northeast Ohio. In addition to Magical Theatre Company, those companies include Ohio Ballet, Blossom Music Center, Cain Park, and Cleveland Opera.

Julie Summy
Lighting Designer

Julie Summy is a member of the local IATSE and is in her ninth season at Magical Theatre Company. Having studied under the late, legendary Lighting Designer Tom Skelton of Ohio Ballet, she has worked for many dance companies including Ohio Ballet, Northeast Ohio Dance, and Wayne Center for the Arts. Julie is an accomplished technician, proficient not only in lighting design, but also as an electrician, carpenter and stage manager.
